COVID-19 INFORMATION

The Bank House B&B are now happy to announce that we are now officially back open to take bookings after being closed due to Coronavirus. We would like to ensure all our customers that we have undergone a full risk assessment and have also implemented all relevant safeguarding measures to keep you safe during your stay.

Unfortunately, because of the safeguarding measure, we are unable to occupy all our rooms so would urge customers to book early to avoid disappointment, thank you.

Relax in the warm, friendly atmosphere of Bank House, a large Victorian family home of historic interest, which offers spacious comfortable accommodation plus superb, generous breakfasts cooked on the Aga.

Situated in the heart of the Georgian town of Bewdley, within easy walking distance of the town centre and the River Severn, Bank House is an ideal base from which to explore the Worcestershire Countryside, including the Wyre Forest, Severn Valley Railway and West Midland Safari Park.

Conveniently positioned for access to the Worcestershire Way, we are also close to seven Golf Courses and cycling and horse riding tracks as well as fishing on both the rivers Severn and Teme plus numerous well stocked pools. For guests interested in local history, Bewdley has an excellent museum which includes a variety of displays and also puts on demonstrations of crafts such as rope making and clay pipe making. The popular visitors attraction of Witley Court, with its Baroque church is a short driving distance away.

All rooms have tea and coffee trays, TVs and washbasins. There are two bath/shower rooms. Off road parking is available nearby for two cars and additional parking is round the corner in Lax Lane or the public car park 300 metres away. WiFi is available. Bank House welcomes children and caters for vegetarians. We are a non-smoking establishment and regrettably cannot accommodate pets.

Lovely Stay

We made a last minute decision recently to visit Bewdley and were not disappointed with the Bank House and especially enjoyed talking to Fleur as we are fellow B&B owners. Our room was very large and comfortable and was very accessible. Breakfast was a relaxed affair sharing a large table with other guests. Fleur had a huge selection of cereals and perfectly cooked poached eggs with tasty bacon and tomatoes. We hope to be back again before too long.

Just Like Home

The proprietor, Fleur, was a pure delight. She was so very helpful, given that I had some real mobility problems at the time. She always asked what I would like for breakfast and voila it was there in the morning. Rooms are fine. If you like, she will let her lovable doggie, Monte, visit with you also. Otherwise he is out of sight, hanging out someplace else. Seems like I'm ditto-ing others feelings about their stay - yup, I'm a fan too!! Hi Fleur - hope to visit you again!

Slightly Quirky

Stayed at Bank house for a couple of nights and found it very comfortable. The rooms are spacious with good beds. Bank house is an older property and is an interesting building, I suspect at one time it was two separate houses, this makes it slightly quirky. I arrived somewhat damp and my wet gear was whisked away to be dried near the Raeburn cooker, I was delighted to find it was dry by the morning. The breakfasts are substantial so don't expect to eat much lunch if you decide to stay here.

Characterful B&B

Stayed here one night whilst walking through the area. The house is just a stones throw from the center of town yet the street was quite peaceful. Fleur was very welcoming and helpful. The house itself is delightfully Victorian and full of character. OK this is not a hotel, but is a lovely unique place to stay. Would definitely come again. Breakfast was perfect.

Fantastic Place To Stay

What a delight it was to stay here! We stayed in the Family room as it had the double bed and it was wonderful, Fleur was very welcoming and a delight to speak to on the morning when we had breakfast and would always show an interest in our days activities and offer advice on what sights to see! Breakfast was always hearty with a great selection of cereals to choose from and a wonderful full English to boot, Orange Juice, piping hot tea and coffee. Staying here really made our weekend that much more special and I would highly recommend staying here!
