Come and visit the beautiful Georgian town of Bewdley on the
River Severn with it's fine architecture, local museum, antique and
craft shops and good pubs and restaurants catering for every taste.
Bewdley is conveniently placed to explore the Wyre Forest,
the Worcestershire Way,
and houses of historic interest, including Witley Court. Steam on the Severn
Railway from Kidderminster to
Bridgenorth, with stops enroute for easy access to meandering footpaths
along the river and through the country park. For a great day out visit
the West Midlands Safari
Park with its magnificent animals; the
children will love the amusement area. The River Severn offers good
fishing and downstream at Stourport you can watch the canal boats
chugging up and down the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal. For
the active there are seven golf courses, with cycling and horse riding
facilities nearby.
